Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to commemorate the brand's centennial. It is constructed of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a fluttering "B" paperweight keys, as well as an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

Aesthetics
Bentley is a firm that takes its aesthetics very seriously. This is evident in the precise placement of its quilting and the use of leather made from leftovers from cattle and sustainable managed forests, and the ingenuous patterns of its levers. As you approach a vehicle like the Continental GT W12, its beautiful sculptural design is highlighted by carefully curated lighting.
The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. Its rear tonneau, for instance, displayed the largest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to the production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
It is this bespoke design, quality and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the world's most sought-after car brand. The company continues pushing boundaries using the most advanced technologies and hand-crafted products. Design

This includes cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests, seats and other areas of the car. This makes it more fun to celebrate. The Centenary Specification also includes a custom Bentley keycase to complete the Bentley experience.
Function
The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons: one that opens the trunk, and the other that is used to start the vehicle. It also has a switch to switch on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors while parking in a tight spot. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your vehicle.

Secure-A-Key is also available to help prevent keyless entry theft. This device is inserted inside the remote-control key fob. It stops it after a couple of minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can unlock and start the vehicle.

Personalisation
Bentley's Mulliner division allows customers to design their own car. The customers sit at a set of images called "mood stations" and pick a collection of photos ranging from scenic vistas to sporting events - that can inspire them. Each time a selection is made, the pattern that emerges will reveal the model of the Bentley, as well as the color and style preferences for the customized Bentley.
The guests receive an individual key case created by hand and containing the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. Keys can also be outfitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that light up the door's opening path with the owner's name and/or emblem as they approach the vehicle.
Bentley estimates that it takes about 500 man-hours to construct and construct a Mulsanne. A key to that time-consuming effort is a deliberate refusal to embrace modern tech. Instead of using a machine to space the perfectly matched cross-stitched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, not using sensors built into the vehicle to direct them to perpendicular and paralell spots.
Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization skills with a unique Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to William Osler, the founder of Bentley. Edition, which pays tribute to the founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited-edition cars include one key that features an image of the 1930 8 Litre's crankshaft.
